This Fine Silver (.999) Proof $2 coin was released as part of the annual Fine Silver Proof Year Set for 2023. The Royal Australian Mint began releasing Fine Silver Year Sets in 2003 and have continued to do so since then. The Aboriginal Man standard reverse 50 cent coin has been included in the Fine Silver Proof Year in all years since 2003.
The Jody Clark 6th Portrait of Queen Elizabeth on this coin had a addition in the form of the special Memorial Obverse.
The Fine Silver Proof Set normally includes a, 5 cent, 10 cent, 20 cent, 50 cent and $1 coin as well as this $2 cent coin. The sets are issued in a presentation case, initially made from wood but recently made from plastic or imitation wood.
