This doctoral thesis deals with the biography and work of the sculptor Francisco López Hernández, through the study of his work, in the sections of sculpture, drawing, relief, medals and architecture, exposed through an exhaustive study and inventory of the same. Its environmental situation from the historical and social point of view. For this he is placed within the realist movement, qualifying his belonging to it by his ascription to the group of Madrid, denomination defended in the present thesis.
