Classification of Russian medieval coins of XVI-XVIII centuries represents one of the most difficult sections of domestic numismatics. The difficulty of studying these coins is due to the minuteness of their size. Often coins are practically "blind", with unreadable inscriptions and monotonous images on the obverse sides. The purpose of this publication is to identify only the obverse sides (with the image of a rider on a horse and the year of minting) kopecks of the sole reign of Tsar Peter the Great.
