No. 50 Civil Affairs Unit was a highly specialized joint British and Australian military administration unit formed in 1944. It was established under the oversight of the Australian Army's Directorate of Civil Affairs. The personnel assigned to 50 CAU were gathered and transferred to Ingleburn Camp outside Sydney, which served as their official training headquarters.
