The commemorative coin is dedicated to the outstanding statesman, military and political figure, head of the Directory of the Ukrainian People's Republic and Chief Ataman of the UNR troops - Symon Petliura, whose name became a symbol of the struggle of the Ukrainian people for independence and statehood at the beginning of the 20th century.
