Stacks: In 1925 the Japanese newspaper company Asahi Shimbun purchased two Breguet airplanes (named Hatsukaze [First wind] and Kochikaze [East wind]) and sponsored a flight from Tokyo to the major capitals of Europe. The crews and their crafts left Tokyo on 25 July 1925, arriving in Paris on 27 September, followed by London, Brussels, and finally Rome on 27 October. The event even spawned a children's board game.
