Colonie de Précigné was a French internment camp for "undesirables" that operated between December 1914 and December 1919. It held approximately 2,116 people—including men, women, and children—from over 40 different nationalities. Many were civilians from enemy nations (like Germany or Austria-Hungary) or individuals deemed suspicious, such as suspected spies, anarchists, or even people simply because they spoke a foreign language.
