Entei is a Legendary Pokémon of the Fire type. It was introduced in Generation II (the Johto region) and is a member of the "Legendary Beasts" trio, alongside Raikou and Suicune. According to Pokémon mythology, Entei is born from the eruption of a volcano. It is said that every time it roars, a volcano erupts somewhere in the world.
Legend has it that Entei was one of the three Pokémon that perished in the fire of the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City, only to be resurrected by the legendary bird Ho-Oh.
It has a powerful, lion-like appearance with brown fur, a grey mane that resembles volcanic smoke, and a golden "crown" on its head.
