Christmas market tokens were produced for a number of communities and actually used at the markets themselves.
In addition to marketwide tokens, some companies produced their own “currency”, such as the “Eu-Glüh” brass tokens struck for the mulled wine merchants Marcel Schmitz (Aachen market since 2003) and Matthias Keth (Karlsruhe market since 2004)
