Obverse

Haft kishwar couplet. Date AH

Lettering: سکہ زاد بار ہفت کشور سیا ی فضل حمی یی دین١٢٠٥ الہ محمد شاہ عالم بادشاہ۔

Translation: The coin was minted seven times, the political genius, the protector of religion, 1205, and the god Muhammad, the king of the worlds.

Reverse

Vertical dagger or katar mint mark;
RY 31 to the left of mint mark.

Lettering:
ضرب جگادھری۔
سنہ ٣١ جولائی، انسان، میمنات۔

Translation: Struck at Jagadhri mint in the 31th year of his reign of tranquil prosperity.

Comments

Silver coins of this date “AH1205//31” (only 2 or 3 pieces, incl. this coin, are known), are the only known specimen with the mint-name Jagadhri. All other later rupees issued from this mint show the pseudo ‘Najibabad’ mint-name.
