According to Grokipedia's page on Costantino Affer, “Affer's collaborations extended to other high-profile events, including the design of a silver-gilt award medal for the Swiss Curling Club Engiadina in St. Moritz around 1956, produced via diecasting in white metal with subsequent gilding for enhanced durability and aesthetic appeal.”
Costantino Affer worked as an engraver at what is variously referred to as A.E. Lorioli Fratelli, F.M. Lorioli & Castelli and/or Lorioli Medaglie of Milan, Italy.
In St. Moritz (found in the Engiadina valley), the teams participating in 1965 would have been competing for the Jackson Cup, shown below.
