Esther Ferrer Ruiz (San Sebastián, December 19, 1937) is a Spanish interdisciplinary artist focused on performance art and considered one of the best Spanish artists of her generation. In 2008, she received the National Prize for Visual Arts of Spain, and in 2014, the Velázquez Prize for Visual Arts awarded by the Ministry of Culture.
