Obverse

Bust of King Frederik IV with long flowing hair facing right, wearing a laurel wreath, a cloak and the order of the elephant chain. Inscription in one line above and inscription in three lines below, solid ring on the rim.

Reverse

Obelisk with three shields, surrounded by weapons, siege equipment and standards. A tent on the left, the Norwegian fortress Frederiksten on the right. Inscription in three on the podium in the centre, all in a solid ring. Surrounding inscription in one line above and inscription in five lines below, solid ring on the rim.

He fled in the night, away from the enemy's army.
