La légende de Jason et la toison d'or vient de la technique utilisée en Asie Mineure antique pour recueillir la poudre d'or alluviale: des peaux de mouton étaient étalées dans le lit des rivières puis la poudre arrêtée par son poids était récupérée dans la laine.
