The United States Air Force

The world's largest and most powerful air force, the USAF, can trace its history back all the way to 1907. It became its own independent service branch of the armed forces forty years later and has played an integral role in protecting America and its allies in the time since. Initiatives such as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (collectively called "ISR") are also part of the force's core missions. Moreover, the Air Force engages in a variety of humanitarian operations all around the world.

Over 300,000 men and women serve as active-duty personnel for the USAF. The service maintains more than 5,000 aircraft. Its core values are Integrity, Service, and Excellence, which can be elaborated as "Integrity first, Service before self, Excellence in all we do."

In addition to defending the people and interests of the United States domestically and overseas, the U.S. Air Force shoulders enormous responsibility with regard to satellites, space, cyberspace, and the country's arsenal of nuclear weapons under the broader umbrella of the Department of Defense.

The Strike Eagle has been the premier fighter jet of the United States Air Force for the past three decades. It combines excellent maneuverability with better than Mach 2 speed and a diverse array of weaponry. It has seen action in virtually every major conflict involving the U.S. military since its inception in the late 1980s and continues to serve our country thanks to its incredible durability and longevity.
