This token has a (New Orleans) Mardi Gras theme with the image of the St. Louis Cathedral and its light weight aluminum composition.
As per Wikipedia, “The Mutual Life Assurance Company of Canada was a Canadian insurance company that existed from 1868 to 2002”. According to the “1990 Annual Report Mutual Life of Canada”, “... the cornerstone of The Mutual Group's Vision for the '90s: (was) “to be the best in the financial markets we serve”.”
This former multinational Canadian insurance company should not be confused with the recently established 2023 US insurance company “The Mutual Group” of Des Moines, Iowa.
