Under the banner of national pride as it looks to the future with confidence and determination, Cape Verde celebrates the 50th Anniversary of its National Independence. In tribute to this historic date, the Bank of Cape Verde marks the event with a limited edition commemorative coin with a face value of 200 Escudos, available in standard (Cupronickel) and special Proof (Silver) and BNC (Nordic Gold) finishes.
