Unique issue where Lysimachus’ name is replaced with the legend ΚΑΛΧΑΔΟΝΙΩΝ, inscribed vertically on either side of the reverse.
As such this legend proclaims that the coins belong “to the Chalcedonians,” acknowledging that this emission is not a royal issue but a civic one.
