Comments

This fascinating new series of medals introduces us to the enchanted world of Jewish Folktales – stories that exemplify the special humor and wisdom of the Jewish people.
The first medal in the series is devoted to one of the most famous Jewish legends, a story filled with mystery and imagination, a story that might be said to be ahead of its time – the Golem of Prague. It is told that Rabbi Judah Loew, a 16th century rabbi known as the Maharal of Prague, created a golem, or in modern terms a robot, to help protect the Jews of the ghetto from persecution and breathed life into it using special incantations.
