Rincón battle was fought on September 24th., 1825 between Oriental (Uruguayan) forces, leaded by Fructuoso Rivera, and Brazilian forces, leaded by João Propício Mena Barreto that currently had invaded the country on 1820. Battle is also known as Batalla del Rincón de las Gallinas or Batalla del Rincón de Haedo, as per the old and new names of the location. It is placed on the confluence of Negro river and Uruguay river on west of Uruguay.
