HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

These notes were issued near the end of the “Great Depression” and 1 year after the flood of 1937. This celebration was used by  banks and buisnesses to demonstrate they had recovered (or are recovering).

NOTES & VARIETIES:

There were printed 5 different notes in 2 varieties (Ea. note).

          Variety 1: Horizontal grain pattern

Variety 2: Vertical grain pattern (Pictured).  The verticle grain pattern is not as robust as the horizontal grain pattern, It is thought that most of them have not survived.
