The World Jewish Order of B'nai B'rith was founded in the United States in 1843. The main aims being as follows:
"To unite the Jewish people in its sacred work of the loftiest and the holiest matters relating to Israel and its land", "To implant freedom in the hearts of our people so that it may cherish our honor above all else and to love our people with its soul", "To fulfill the needs of the poor and the destitute", These in addition to a large number of national and humanitarian activities, comprise the B'nai B'rith credo.
The B'nai B'rith emblem is a candelabra, each branch thereof representing one of its fundamental beliefs -light, justice, peace, charity, love of life, unity and truth.
