A commemorative medal marking the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of May 3, 1791, one of the most important events in the history of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The medal is made of plated copper-nickel and issued as a limited collector’s series.

 

Obverse: a dynamic equestrian scene with hussars, an eagle, and an allegorical figure of Poland in the background, with the inscription around the rim: “Jeszcze Polska nie zginęła, kiedy my żyjemy” (“Poland has not yet perished, as long as we live”).

 

Reverse: a historical composition with figures of the signatories and the title “3 MAJA 1791”, with the inscription around the rim: “230th Anniversary of the Adoption of the May Constitution”.
