Veiled head of Hera to right; in the folds of the veil, above the head, letter A.
Hera standing right, holding scepter in her right hand and reins in left, driving quadriga with horses walking towards the right. All within oak wreath.
Script: Greek
Lettering:
ΧΑΛΚΙ
ΘΞΕ
ΔΕΩΝ
The letter A that can be read in the folds of the goddess's veil is the engraver's signature; it can be compared to the letters A inscribed on a ribbon of Artemis's headdress, on the obverse of certain tetradrachms from Eretria.
On the reverse, the issue is signed by the three letters ΘΞΕ, which could be the initials of three moneyers, but which could also be the abbreviation of a name such as Θεοξενος.
