Er wird ungültig drei Monate nach erfolgter Auf-
kündigung durch den Magistrat Höxter d. 13. Mai 1921
Translation:
Höxter-Corvey, June 15. St. Vitus Festival
When Saint Vitus comes in summer,
then both day and time come to an end,
and he who then has many pennies
shall keep them safe until this time.
The treasury will redeem this note.
It becomes invalid three months after official notice
by the city magistrate of Höxter, May 13, 1921.

Whoever wishes to visit Saint Vitus here
should bring much gold and deal honestly,
he is an honorable servant of Saint Vitus;
with honor he comes as bidden,
without harm and without annoyance.
Buy with money and take not without pay,
this teaching shall remain with me for all time.
