El portador de este billete tiene derecho al abono de la cantidad de QUINIENTOS reales vellon segun el articulo 11 del Real decreto de 5 de Agosto de 1852.
Este billete, mientras se efectua su amortización en la forma prevenida en el articulo 12 del mismo Real decreto circulará se recibirá y considerará para las transacciones de todas clases en la provincias de Cataluña unicamente, como moneda de cobre por una cantidad igual a la que espresa.

Banknote equivalent to copper coin
The bearer of this banknote is entitled to payment of the sum of Five Hundred reales vellon according to Article 11 of the Royal Decree of August 5, 1852.
This banknote, pending amortization in the manner provided for in Article 12 of the same Royal Decree, will circulate and be accepted and considered for all types of transactions in the provinces of Catalonia only, as copper coin for an amount equal to the amount expressed.

Banknote equivalent to copper coins that circulated only in the four provinces of Catalonia (Barcelona, Tarragona, Gerona and Lerida), belonging to the series of three banknotes of 200, 500 and 1000 Reales Vellón issued by the Currency Board of Catalonia, based in Barcelona, in compliance with the Royal Decree of August 20, 1852 by which it was agreed that the Currency Board should proceed to collect all low-value copper coins from Catalonia.
