Struck by the Royal Dutch Mint
The first Pure Silver Postage Stamp featuring Gaston Lagaffe was struck by the Royal Dutch Mint in collaboration with Royal PostNL. The stamp features a portrait of the famous comic strip character Gaston Lagaffe. Gaston is a (non-)comic strip hero, a lazy and clumsy, yet inventive office assistant in the editorial office of Spirou, where he regularly drives his colleagues to despair.
