Bank name at top, large face value in word form at centre, eleven signatures at bottom. Design surrounded by ornate frame, with the coat of arms of Wrocław at upper centre. Faint letter "B" in background at centre. Handwritten serial number at upper right.

Fünf Thaler Courant
nach dem Münzfuß von 1764, zahlt die städtische Bank-Casse in Breslau ohne Legitimations-Prüfung dem Einlieferer dieser Bank-Note, welche auch von allen städtischen Erhebern des Ortes statt baaren Geldes in Zahlung augenommen wird. Breslau, den 10. Juni 1848.

Wer eine städtische Bank-Note berfälscht oder nachmacht, oder dergleichen berfälschte oder nachgemachte wissentlich verbreiten hilft, wird gleich demjenigen bestraft, welcher falsches Geld unter landesherrlichem Gepräge gemünzt, oder verbreitet hat.
