Stephen Album's Checklist of Islamic Coins designates this coin as Common ("C"). Album also notes that some examples of this coin "…are struck on flans formed by folding a thin sheet of copper two or more times. The copper sheets are said to have been cut from old cooking pots, but I regard that as a spurious explanation"
