Allen Type: D.

Van Arsdell ‘Corio Head Class D’. Van Arsdell Classification: Dobunnic B, Silver Coins Attributed to Corio. Van Arsdell attributes this coin to Corio. He uses style and objects in the fields to associate the silver uninscribed coins with their gold counterparts, and metallurgy and metrology to assign the uninscribed staters to rulers with inscribed coins. However, it is a hypothesis that Rudd does not follow.

Healy Phase 2. Healy combines Class C (ABC 2018, boss on chin) and Class D (ABC 2021, cross on chin) since the dies were used together and with the same reverse dies. There is also a transitional variant with a cross on a boss. However, they can be separated:
COD 11f ‘Cross Chin’. There are three types based on the reverses shared with ABC 2018:
COD 11f/b ‘Cross, Big Head’: Eagle has large ringed-pellet head. 26 known.
COD 11f/d ‘Cross, Small Head, Petals Up’: Eagle has small ringed-pellet head, flower has upward-pointing petals (not sideways). 58 known.
COD 11f/e ‘Cross, Big Head, Petals Up’: Eagle has large ringed-pellet head, flower has upward-pointing petals (not sideways). 72 known. (Chris Rudd's ‘Big Head, Petals Up’, Chris Rudd List 199, 10 February 2025, lot 23).
