"Old Town of Salamanca" is the name given to the heritage site located in the old town of the Spanish city of the same name, which is protected by the title of World Heritage Site, conferred by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 1988.
Convent of San Esteban, Dominican friars (16th century): the Plateresque façade, with its triumphal arch shape, is a true gem of the Salamanca Renaissance. It features an impressive Baroque altarpiece by José Benito Churriguera. Also noteworthy is the Renaissance Cloister of the Kings.
