Decree nº 4738 of March 16, 1931 ordered the issue of up to 200 thousand réis and limited the issue to 30,000 contos de réis. The Decree of June 20 of the same year ordered a new issue to be issued in amounts of 200 thousand and 500 thousand réis, up to a limit of 20,000 contos de réis.
