Death of Charles James Fox
Draped bust of Charles James Fox right
Script: Latin
Lettering: RT. HONOURABLE CHARLES JAMES FOX
Engraver: Thomas Webb
An angel standing on a globe with a map of Britain
Script: Latin
Lettering: LIBERTATIS HUMANITATISQUE VINDEX.
Translation: Champion of liberty and humanity
Engraver: Thomas Webb
Brown: The bust on the obverse is basically the same as that used on BHM 604, but with considerable alterations to the drapery which is now much heavier. Although this medal does not have Webb's name on it, some of the work may be attributed to him because of the close associations with his known medal of Fox.
