Comments

When the bridge was opened to traffic in 1897, it was considered a technical marvel: 107 metres high and 500 metres long, it spans the narrow Wupper valley. To this day, the bridge is an important transport link that shortens the railway line between Solingen and Remscheid from 44 to eight kilometres. In order to make it fit for the future, it was completely renovated between 2010 and 2018.
