The Portuguese Skating Federation, founded in 1924, celebrates 100 years in 2024. Originated from the introduction of the first skates in Portugal by Queen Maria Pia, it has evolved to cover various sports such as roller hockey, figure skating, speed skating, skateboarding, inline freestyle and roller freestyle. The Federation promotes healthy sports practices, with training programs and emphasis on high performance.
