Comments

According to TAMS Journal, Vol.2, No.6 Part 2, Pages 30 & 31: This group has received a great deal of attention in the pages of Coin World and other numismatic publications for some 10 years (1972), so that our state of knowledge on it is vastly expanded from the past. For example, Kurth listed just two variations of this set in 1952 and we ourselves listed only 11 variations in 1963. Contrast that with what follows!
Nothing is yet known of where or why this was produced. It is hoped that this listing will elicit further information.

Variety 1
Rad- 20. Similar to 19, numeral 1.00. Reverse has 36 berries and 78 rays. Aluminum. 40mm. Issued with or without watch-stem loop.
Variety 2
Rad-19. Numeral 1.00 struck (relief) in radiant hexagonal frame. Ornamental rim. Gilt pewter.38mm.
Variety 3
Rad-19A. As 19, but coppered pewter. 38mm.
Variety 4
Rad-19B. As 19, but Pewter. 38mm.
Variety 5
Rad-21. Similar to 20, numeral 1.00. Reverse has 36 berries and 43 rays. Aluminum. 40mm.
