50 CREDITI
2006-XXXI
⋆ 505- 10 999 (within an incomplete oval shape)

Translation:
Federation of Damanhur
The Credito is the complementary currency of Damanhur
31 in Roman numerals is the Damanhuran calendar year
The 505- 10 suggests it is the 10th coin out of a series of 505 in total, the 999 within the incomplete oval shape stands for 99.9% silver

Reverse

Three human faces with their names below, with 'sacred language symbols' above and below them

Script: Latin

Lettering: CANGURO MAIS M.GAULOTO ORSO LICHENE

Translation: Canguro Mais, M. Gaoloto/Gao Loto and Orso Lichene are some of the co-founders of Damanhur. These names are self chosen spiritual names in the Damanhur tradition (an animal name first, then a plant name); they translate as 'Kangaroo Corn', 'M. High Lotus' (Gao is Chinese for high) and 'Bear Lichen' (lichen is a plantlike organism that grows on rocks)

Comments

People living in and doing paid work for the Damanhur community get paid in Crediti. The value of 1 Credito equals 1 Euro. The coins are used within the community as money, one can pay with either Euros or Crediti in all the shops and restaurants.
Even within the community it is hard to find this coin, the cash registers of the Damanhur supermarket and restaurants tend to mostly contain coins worth less.

There is a 999 mark on the coin.
The oval around the 999 of the silver mark being incomplete suggests it was added later manually:
