200 Reales de Vellón Banco de Zaragoza

With the Banco Español de San Fernando they had been sharing the privilege of issuance in their respective locations by the Bank of Barcelona, founded on May 1 of 1844, and the Bank of Cádiz, which, as a branch of the Banco de Isabel II, first had the name of Banco Español de Cádiz and, as a result of the merger of those of San Fernando and Isabel II, became "Banco de Cádiz" in 1846.
Enacted the Law of January 28, 1856, which established the principle of plurality of banks of issue, did not take long these to spread throughout Spain, beginning with Malaga, which since 1844 managed its creation and saw its wishes fulfilled six months after the approval of the Law. Up to 21 issuing banks, including Spain, were authorized.
Bank of Zaragoza: Created by "Reales Ordenes between May 11 and August, 1, 1857" and merged with Bank of Spain on November 1874. Created again under the name of "Banco de Credito de Zaragoza" (Statutes in "Gaceta" number 257, of 14 September 1875). (It was absorbed by the Central Bank in 1947.)
