NOTE: Before minting the silver coins, were minted brass patterns with same dies, to be gifted to employees of the company (more than 100). This is the reason metal and weight engraved do not match real ones.
The Fidel Castro phrase, said at his speech on New Delhi's Non-Aligned Countries Summit, declares his thinking of developing the country, as the way to reach peace.
The image represented is from "La Guerra y la Paz" (The War and the Peace), drawing by Picasso, based on his famous Peace Dove.
This is the only Cuban coin that shows Fidel's signature.
