Comments

The note has a solid security strip which can be read under backlight only. On it is repeated “Half Rial”:

On the reverse there are three patches of pale silver iridescent ink. The first is the denomination “1/2” seen towards the lower edge of the middle of the note:

Next is a small circle representing the center of a flower. The petals of the flower are a subtle dark pigmentation:

Last is the coat of arms of the Sultanate of Oman at the upper right corner:

The note has two different UV responses.
