Obverse

A peasant woman with a scarf and horsetail (lat. Equisetum) in hand is placed in the central part of the coin and she is surrounded by regular circle. NEZ (abbreviation of NEZAVISNA) DRŽ (abbreviation of DRŽAVA) HRVATSKA is written outside of the circle alongside the edge, while the year of minting (1941) is at the bottom of the coin.

Reverse

The old Christian braided ornamentation is alongside the whole edge of the coin, while the old Croatian coat of arms is at the bottom of the coin. A European pine marten running left is in the central part of the coin, while the face value of the coin (1) is placed on top of the European pine marten.
