Comments

Authorized under Lt. Col. Wendell Fertig's forces, the United States Forces in the Philippines (USFIP), these notes were the product of Sam Wilson's mint, also known as the "hit and run" mint as they were on the move to prevent their forces and these notes being captured by the Imperial Japanese. They were produced and accepted throughout the island of Mindanao over the fiat peso issued by the Imperial Japanese-sponsored Second Philippine Republic.
