UV activity:

Obverse/front side - the denomination “10” in a box and the serial number glow in neon green under UV light

Reverse/back side - various wavy patterns glow in neon green under UV light

Security thread:

There are two security threads present on the banknote; the thinner one is closer to the centre of the note with the inscription of “10” and is only visible under a backlight. The thicker one is to the right of Mao Zedong and is interwoven/windowed through the note with the inscription of “¥10” continuously repeated throughout.

The thick windowed security thread has a multicolour tone, switching colours from hot pink to gold when the note is tilted.

The denomination “10” in the centre of the note is printed in colour-shifting ink. It switches colours from light green to turqoise when the note is tilted:
