Obverse: Marshall Andres Avelino Caceres, President of Peru 3 times during 19th century, considered a national hero for leading the resistance to Chilean occupation during the War of the Pacific 1879-83.

Reverse: Ruins of Chan Chan - capital of the Chimú kingdom (c. ad 1100–1470) and the largest city in pre-Columbian America. Situated on the northern coast of present-day Peru.

Anverso: Mariscal Andrés Avelino Cáceres, Presidente de Perú en tres oportunidades durante el siglo XIX, es considerado héroe nacional por liderar la resistencia a la ocupación chilena durante3 la Guerra del Pacífico 1879-1883.

Reverso: Ruinas de Chan Chan, capital del reino Chimú (c. ad 1100–1470) y la más grande ciudad de la América precolombina, situada en la costa norte del actual Perú.
