The featured Great Pagoda at Kew was built in 1762 as a gift for Princess Augusta. Issued exclusively in October 2009 as part of the 16-coin set to celebrate 40 years of the 50 pence denomination, the design was reused in 2019 although it featured Jody Clark's fifth portrait and was released as part of the 5-coin British Culture Sets celebrating 50 years of the 50p. This design was also struck in copper-nickel, silver proof, silver piedfort, gold proof. Issue limit: 40.
