Comments

A lot of counterfeits exist and are made from 2537/1994 (by removing only a little part of the 7)

Differences:

  • Inner ring 2533 has bigger bronze than 2537

  • Space between 33 and 37

  • Shape of 3 and 7

The 2004 coin fine (small braille dots) / bold date (large braille dots)

In the early years, the Royal Thai mint cannot prepare enough coins for circulation itself, so they ordered 10M coins from The Italian State Mint.
The Royal Thai mint then ordered additional 50M blanks from Olin Brass, United states, but there are enough 10 Baht coins and 10 Baht Banknotes in the circulation, so the 10 baht baht coins minted with 2533 (1990) were made for a coin exhibition in England to promote the fact that the 10 baht coins would now be the only 10 baht denomination. 10 Baht banknotes would not be produced after that. See the attached link from the Bangkok Post.
