Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was the author who created Sherlock Holmes.
Released as part of the 2019 Annual Brilliant Uncirculated (23,326 sales), Proof (issue limit 7,000; sales 6,055) and Premium Proof (issue limit 5,000; sales 2,053) sets. While also available in individual BU packs on 13/05/19 (30,349 sales) as well as tubes sold to third parties (49,745 sales) and 188 to Buckingham Palace. The coin was issued for circulation on 22/05/19. The design was also struck in silver proof, silver piedfort and gold proof.
