Comments
A new monogram of Queen Margarethe II was designed especially for the obverse of this series of coins.
These coins were minted by the Mint of Finland from 2017-2023.

Jørgen Strandgaard (JS initials on obverse; 2014–2015)
Lars Gerrild Sørensen (LGS initials on obverse; 2016)

Varieties:
On the coins minted in 1990, the pellets on the reverse touch the ornament and the date on the obverse is in a smaller bold font. The other varieties are distinguished by the engraver and mint master marks on the obverse. Krause distinguishes between coins with (KM# 869.1) and without (KM# 869.2) mint master marks. Coins minted in 2016 exist both in coin and medal alignments.
