The sable antelope (Hippotragus niger) inhabits wooded Savannah in East Africa and in Southern Africa.
The subspecies: (Hippotragus niger niger) i.e. Southern Sable or black sable or Matsetsi sable is extensively found in Zimbabwe

There are two types of obverse, one with 88 denticles, one with 90 denticles.
