Comments

This coin was struck at the Royal Australian Mint and issued by the New Zealand Treasury. In total 500,000 coins were minted.

The Uncirculated coin was issued in a square Jewel Case with blue background. 400,000 copies were issued this way including the "No Hyphen" error estimated at 75,000 examples.


The Uncirculated Year Mint Set was issued in a plastic wallet with pink label and contained 50,000 copies of the coin.

The BU Specimen Year Mint Set was issued in a plastic wallet with blue label and contained 50,000 copies of the coin.


The Proof Year Set was issued in a plush black open case. (Described as Prooflike in some catalogues) Mintage unknown.


There are Varieties in size of the hyphen (wide & narrow) and in the space distance between the K and the B:

There also is another mistake in Krause. The missing I is not in BI-CENTENARY but in COMMEMORATING:

This coin was also issued in a non-official PNC by Nuphil Associates Ltd with two other PNCs (a 50c and a Franklin Mint silver medallion). Of note is that each PNC had the Receipt for Registered Mail supplied with the item.
